World Environment Day 2023

The World Environment Day event in Poojuthi Village, Madurai aimed to educate and engage the local community in finding solutions to the pressing issue of plastic pollution. The event was organized under the leadership of Mr. Ramanathan, Panchayat President Poonjuthi Village who played a pivotal role in coordinating the activities. The theme for World Environment Day June 5 2023 was celebrated with “Solutions to Plastic Pollution.” Dr. Mariappan, a former scientist at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), shared insights into the impact of plastic pollution on human health and the ecosystem, emphasizing the need for sustainable alternatives. Voice Trust director, Mr. T. Murugesan, also addressed the villagers, emphasizing the importance of reducing plastic usage and promoting eco-friendly alternatives. As part of the event, cloth bags were distributed to the villagers as an alternative to single-use plastic bags. To solidify their commitment towards addressing plastic pollution, the villagers took a pledge to minimize their use of single-use plastics and promote environmentally friendly practices. In addition to addressing plastic pollution, the World Environment Day event also included a tree plantation drive

Plant Trees Save Nature

On June 5th 2023, the 50th World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The primary focus of this event was to promote the significance of environmental conservation and raise awareness about the importance of planting trees. As part of the event, a tree plantation drive was organized along the Madurai-Chennai highways, led by Voice Trust in association with the Nature Protection Foundation. The tree plantation drive aimed to contribute to the foundation’s ongoing 130-week program, which seeks to protect and preserve nature. This strategic location was chosen to maximize the impact of the plantation drive, ensuring that the trees would thrive and benefit both urban and rural areas. Voice Trust, an environmental organization committed to promoting sustainable practices, partnered with the Nature Protection Foundation for this noble cause. Since the inception of the 130-week program, the efforts have resulted in the successful planting of approximately 13,050 tree saplings. The event serves as a reminder of the importance of individual and collective action in preserving nature for future generations.

World Blood Donor Day

World Blood Donor Day is celebrated every year by the people in many countries around the world on 14th of June. This day marks the birth anniversary of Karl Landsteiner on 14th of June in 1868. This event celebration was first started in the year 2004 aiming to raise the public awareness about the need for safe blood donation (including its products) voluntarily and unpaid by the healthy person. Blood donors are the key role player at this day as they donate life-saving gifts of blood to the needed person. World Blood Donor Day is celebrated annually to aware people for the need of safe blood transfusion as well as importance of blood donation throughout the world. This year we joined hands with Madurai Kappalur Kanyakumari Toll plaza to celebrate the day by organizing a Blood Donation Camp. Our Director Mr Murugesan also donated blood to raise awareness among the public.

International Women’s Day

The CSR program was conducted at Veerapandian Nagar, Karrupayurani on the 11th March 2023 in association with Thangamayil Jewellery Ltd Madurai. In order to give the rural women a breather, a fun- filled day was organized with games and dance. District Chairperson K. Suriyakala, Madurai East Panchayat Union President R. Manimegalai and others were felicitated. A rally was taken out starting from Appar Higher Secondary School Karrupayurani to Veerapandian Nagar stressing the importance of equity in society by students of Lady Doak College and Appar Higher Secondary School Karrupayurani who held placards. Ten women were felicitated with shields for their vital contribution to the society. Millet Exhibition was organized and also millet based snacks were distributed to everyone. Games (Musical chair, Water Filling in Balloons) were conducted to the women and a small token of appreciation were given to all the participants. Cultural programs were conducted by Lady Doak College Students. (Skit, Dance, Karagattam, Thappattam,Villu Pattu providing Health tips to the village people) Health Awareness talk was given by Dr Hemalatha MD DGO. All together a total of 250 women benefitted through this program.

Each poster targeted a specific aspect of tobacco use and its associated consequences. The release of these posters will play a crucial role in spreading awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco within Government Rajaji Hospital. It is expected that the presence of these posters in key departments will serve as a constant reminder to healthcare professionals, patients, and visitors about the importance of tobacco control. The event serves as a stepping stone towards a healthier community by empowering individuals with knowledge and resources to combat tobacco addiction. It is hoped that such initiatives will contribute to reducing the prevalence of tobacco-related diseases and promoting a tobacco- free lifestyle.

“World No Tobacco Day”- Release of Posters Promoting Tobacco Awareness

On the occasion of “World No Tobacco Day”, 31st May 2023, Voice Trust NGO Madurai and Suji Healthcare Pvt Ltd in collaboration with Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai, organized a Poster Release event raising awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and promoting a smoke-free environment. The event took place at Government Rajaji Hospital and as part of the program, a set of visually appealing and informative posters were released by Dr. A. Rathinavel, the esteemed Dean of the Hospital in the presence of Dr V.R.Ganesan, Medical Superintendent. The gathering was attended by staff members, medical professionals, and representatives from Voice Trust and Suji Healthcare Pvt Ltd. To convey the message of tobacco-related health risks and encourage the community to quit tobacco use, the posters were strategically placed in key departments of the hospital, including Oncology, STD, HIV/TB, Anaesthesia, and Emergency.

World AIDS Day 2022
Welfare Scheme Assistance Ceremony

“Equalize” is this year’s World AIDS Day theme. It’s a rallying cry to get
serious about addressing disparities and doing everything we can to end
AIDS. Therefore, it is important to increase access to HIV treatment, testing, and prevention services by bettering their availability, quality, and applicability. Individuals living with HIV and other vulnerable and marginalized groups risk discrimination and isolation because of the virus. On 10th December, Voice Trust joined hands with CUBE HIGHWAYS, a Singapore-based company, to commemorate World AIDS Day 2022, under the theme “Equalize”. Mr Shibashish Sahoo, VP, Social Safeguard of Cube Highways presided over the function. The CSR activities included nutritious Samapandhi Bhojanam and distribution of groceries to around 160 beneficiaries affected with AIDS. The program was a integrated effort of Voice Trust, CUBE Highways, CUBEROOTS Foundation, Madurai- Kanyakumari Tollway Ltd, Kanyakumari- Etturvattam Tollway Ltd and TANSACS. At the event, Voice Trust Director Mr T Murugesan was honoured with the Appreciation Award for AIDS Awareness Creation from National Aids Control Organization Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, DAPCU Collectorate Madurai and Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society, Govt of Tamil Nadu.

Pink October – Cancer Awareness Celebration

Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is a global healthcare event for the awareness of breast cancer, which is reminisced for the entire month of October every year for the past 37 years since 1985. This year (2022), on the 16th of Oct, Voice Trust in association with Guru multispeciality hospital Situated at Madurai which is a world class medical centre in India pioneering in the field of cancer care and the Association of Surgeons of India conducted the awareness on Caner in Madurai through a Mini marathon in which ladies, men and children of various age group participated. Our Trust Director, Mr Murugesan also participated in the marathon. Prizes were distributed to the winners.

National Leprosy Eradication

The National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP) is a Centrally Sponsored Health Scheme and it has been implemented with the major objective of reducing the disease burden, prevention of disability and to improve awareness among the mass about Leprosy and its curability. Every month the disability prevention and rehabilitation treatment camp for leprosy patients is conducted at Usilambatti Urban Government Primary Health Center. On the 26th Oct 2022, this camp was conducted in association with Voice Trust in a successful manner. In this camp Mr. Paramasivam HE, Mr. Chandrasekhar NMS from DTL office and Ravi HI honoured he occasion. Mr. Ramaraj NMS from Usilampatti District, Mr. Selvaraj NMS from Chellampatti District and Mr. Jaishankar NMS from Sedapatti District conducted this camp very well. Managing Trustee of Voice Trust Mr.T. Murugesan MA.,MBA graced the occasion and distributed 150 new shirts sponsored by Ramaraj Cotton to the disabled patients who visited the camp. Lunch to the disabled patients was provided by Mr. Sivakumar, in-charge of Madurai No Food Waste Organization.

Health Awareness Program

Ever year, The Gram Sabha Meetings are held in villages on the Gandhi Jayanti Day on 2nd October in Tamil Nadu. This is the first time that an NGO has conducted a Health Awareness event through the Gram Sabha Meeting. This year, we conducted a Health awareness program about the Health Assembly, Tuberculosis Awareness and General Hygiene through the Gram Sabha Meeting in Karuppayurani Village on 2nd Oct 2022.

The program was a joint venture of Voice Trust and Lady Doak College
Madurai. The Health awareness was imparted through a skit program by the
College students. Voice Trust Director, Mr Murugesan explained in detail about the various activities of the Health Assembly. Local Panchayat President, Local VIPs, Professor Uma Mahesweri, Counsellors, Govt Officials, Ward members, Mahalir SHGs, Para medical staff and the Village people participated in the program.

World Environment Day 2022

World Environment Day 2022 was celebrated on 5 June in association with Walkers Club Madurai and Malabar Gold & Diamonds. It is the biggest international day for the environment. The purpose of celebrating this day is to raise awareness among people to protect the environment. It was first started in 1974 with the theme: “Only One Earth”. World Environment day comes annually with a new theme which is assigned by the UN (United Nations).

The theme of World Environment day 2022 is “Only One Earth”, and Sweden is the host country for it. Under this theme, World Environment day will be observed, highlighting the need to live sustainably in harmony with nature. This day provides us with an opportunity totake responsible steps to preserve and enhance the environment.

Independence Day Celebration

The Independence Day of India, which is celebrated religiously throughout the Country on the 15th of August every year, holds tremendous ground in the list of national days, since it reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning, the beginning of an era of deliverance from the clutches of British colonialism of more than 200 years. On August 15, Voice Trust in association with Madurai Kamaraj University joined hands with Guru Hospital Madurai to celebrate the 75 years of our Independence in the presence of Prof. Dr. J. Kumar MSc. Ph.D.(India), DSSTM(Italy), Vice-Chancellor, Madurai Kamaraj University, Dr.S.G.Balamurugan, M.S, M.Ch (Surg.onco), Guru Hospital chairman, one of the leading surgical oncologist and presently doing practice at Madurai, Dr Marudhupandian, Former Dean, Madurai Medical College Hospital, Registrar-MKU, University Professors and the general public. A blood donation camp was also organized to mark the occasion.

National Doctor’s Day Celebration

Every year, National Doctor’s Day is observed on July 1 in the memory of Dr Bidhan Roy, the former Chief Minister of Bengal, who was known for his selfless service to humanity.The day, commemorated by Indian Medical Association (IMA), celebrates all doctors and healthcare workers who have been tirelessly serving people by risking their own lives.

Doctors’ Day Significance
In India, we celebrate National Doctor’s Day to acknowledge and express gratitude towards doctors who work tirelessly day and night to keep us healthy. Also, in this pandemic, the world witnessed the role of doctors and healthcare staff who saved the lives of millions by putting their lives at risk. This day is significant because it gives all of us a chance to celebrate and cheer the spirit and dedication of medical practitioners across the world. Dr.Palaniappan M Marimuthu, leading Pulmonologist in Madurai was honoured for his invaluable services on Doctors Day by Voice Trust Managing Director, Mr T Murugesan.

Post Covid-19 Adolescent Women

On the 9th of March 2022, Voice Trust in association with Apollo Hospitals Madurai and CUBE Highways (Kanyakumari Etturvattam Tollways Ltd) organized an awareness program on “Post Covid-19 Adolescent Women” at Government Arts and Science College Sattur to celebrate Women’s Day. Dr Muthukumar, Principal of the college gave a warm welcome. Mr Ambati Srinivasa Kiran Kumar, Project Head, Madurai- Kanyakumari section of NH44 presided over the function. Mrs Suganya, Chief Dietician Apollo Hospitals Madurai explained in detail about all the dietary issues associated with adolescent women. Dr T Mariappan Msc.,PhD, Former Scientist ICMR gave a marvellous talk on Corona and post Covid-19 complications. Around 400 students including professors were benefitted through this program.

Healthy Food Healthy Life

On the 8th March 2022, International Women’s Day was celebrated in a grand manner at Ramesh Flowers (Gala Group), Thoothukudi in association with Velammal Medical College Hospital and Suji Healthcare Madurai. “Healthy Food Healthy Life” awareness Program was conducted for the benefit of women employees of Ramesh Flowers. The event was inaugurated by the Vice President of Ramesh Flowers, Mr M Chandrasekaran. Dr Vidhya SM.D.D.N.B, Consultant Psychiatrist from Velammal Hospital imparted an in depth knowledge about the various mental health issues related to the lack of healthy food in one’s life to the women employees. Voice Trust Director T Murugesan explained in detail about some nutrition deficient diseases and how to tackle them through the intake of healthy food. Around 300 women were benefitted through this program.

Webinar on Women’s participation during the current pandemic of Covid-19

Voice Trust in association with Women’s Studies Centre, Madurai Kamaraj University organized webinar on Women’s participation during the current pandemic of Covid-19 on the 7 th of March 2022. Dr. R. Radhika Devi MBA, M.Com., M.Sc.(Psy.), M.Phil., Ph.D. Director, Women’s Studies Centre, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai and Dr. C Subbulakshmi, Asst Professor co-ordinated in the organization of the webinar. The speaker of the webinar, Dr T. Mariappan MSc.,Ph.D, Former Scientist, Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) elaborated about Corona virus-its origin, types, methods of spread, various vaccines available and how we can keep ourselves safe. He also explained about how women play a major role in our society with greater risk of infection and responsibilities.

Our women play a major role in our society with greater risk of infection in home as well as at work. Nearly 83 percent of the frontline workers are female who have consistently been putting their lives at risk. In rural areas, women accounting for 1 million Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers are the core providers of health care and medical services. Women in India, both individually and collectively are working fanatically on the frontlines to rein in an ever-worsening pandemic. Yet, despite their significant contribution toward the management of the crisis, women continue to remain invisible in both the global as well as the national discourse on women’s leadership in the COVID-19 crisis. It is time to recognize the efforts of these unseen heroes of the crisis and acknowledge the critical roles that women play in Indian society. 55 college students and professors of Women’s Study Centre, Madurai Kamaraj University participated & got benefitted through this webinar.

World Cancer Day-2022

On the 4th of Feb 2022, World Cancer Day was observed by Voice Trust in association with Suji Health Care and SBM Trust, Kariyapatti in Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai. Posters related to Cancer were released by the Dean of Madurai Medical College, Dr A. Rathinavel in the presence of Voice Trust Director Mr T Murugesan, SBM Trust Director Mr Alagarsamy. The theme of World Cancer Day 2022 is ‘Close the Care Gap’. It is all about understanding and recognising the inequities in cancer care around the globe. The theme revolves around identifying and recognising global disparities in cancer care, that prevents people from certain economic strata full access to essential healthcare services and facilities. Inequity in cancer care costs lives.

International Human Solidarity Day Celebration
  • Every year on December 20th, “International Human Solidarity Day” is commemorated to emphasize the value of unity in variety. It’s also a day to raise awareness about the importance of solidarity.
  • We at Voice Trust, Madurai in association with the District Administration and Lady Doak College Madurai celebrated the International Human Solidarity Day on the 20th of Dec 2021.
  • This program was conducted under the leadership of the Honorable Collector of Madurai District Dr Aneesh Sekhar, IAS at Collector Office premises Madurai. A street play and signature campaign had been arranged to mark the International Human Solidarity Day organized by Voice Trust Madurai along with Lady Doak College. This day was celebrated to achieve 100% Covid-19 Vaccination program in Madurai District. Cooperation and solidarity can pursue the aim of our Government of lifting people out of poverty, hunger and disease.”
Republic Day Celebration

The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated in association with Tamilnadu Santhome Educational & Charitable Trust and Lions & Leo Clubs of Madurai Friends on the 26th of Jan 2022. The paramedical and Nursing Students participated in the program. We believe that nursing is a profession that requires knowledge, skill and attitude based on the values of human life, which enable a nurse to provide holistic health care. The dignitaries, Thiru Shanmugavel Sivakumar, Tahsildar, Backward Classes Welfare, Ms Sabina Begum, Managing Trustee, Tamilnadu Santhome Educational & Charitable Trust were honoured on this day.

World Breast Feeding Week Awareness to Pregnant and Lactating Mothers
  • To spread awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding, Voice Trust in association with the department of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Govt of Tamil Nadu, Velammal Medical College Hospital Madurai and Suji Health Care, Madurai organized an awareness programme at Velammal Hospital on the 4th of August 2021 to mark “World Breastfeeding Week”.
  • World Breastfeeding Week is an annual celebration held every year from August 1 to 7 in over 120 countries. World Health Organisation states breastfeeding as one of the most effective ways to ensure child health and survival. This year, the theme for breastfeeding week is ‘Protect Breastfeeding: A Shared Responsibility. ‘World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world
  • Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a lot of misinformation around breastfeeding. The World Health Organisation states that “transmission of active Covid-19 through breast milk and breastfeeding has not been detected to date.
    There is no reason to avoid or stop breastfeeding.”
  • The experts sensitized the participants and focused on special nutritional care during pregnancy, the need of lactation, importance of breast milk, importance of colostrums, about the nutritional care, importance of hygiene and sanitation, importance of balanced diet, prevention of anemia etc

International Womens Day 2021 Celebration

theme for International Women’s Day 8 march in 2021 is ‘ Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World’.

The theme celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is also aligned with the priority theme of the 65th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, “Women’s full and effective participation and decision-making in public life, as well as the elimination of violence, for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls”, and the flagship Generation Equality campaign, which calls for women’s right to decision-making in all areas of life, equal pay, equal sharing of unpaid care and domestic work, an end all forms of violence against women and girls, and health-care services that respond to their needs.

Women stand at the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis, as health care workers, caregivers, innovators, community organizers and as some of the most exemplary and effective national leaders in combating the pandemic. The crisis has highlighted both the centrality of their contributions and the disproportionate burdens that women carry.

This year Anganwadi workers were given importance by Voice Trust for their dedicated and extraordinary work in the progress of our nation. A rally was taken out by around 50 Anganwadi workers.

World Breast Feeding Week Celebration

World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year from 1 to 7 August to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world. The World Breast Feeding Week was jointly organized by Voice Trust and Guru Hospital, Madurai for the Anganwadi Staff and pregnant women under the Integrated Rural Development Program on 07.08.2019 at the conference Hall, Guru Hospital. Dr. Kalpana, obstetrician specialist, clearly outlined the significance and usefulness of the “World Breast Feeding” week. Breastfeeding promotes better health for mothers and children alike. Increasing breastfeeding to near-universal levels could save more than 8,00,000 lives every year, the majority being children under 6 months

National Nutrition Week

Awareness seminar on National Nutrition Week Day was organized at Sri Meenakshi Govt.Arts College for Women(A), Madurai on 03-09.2019 which was organized by Voice Trust, Suji HealthCare, Lions Club of Pandian and Madurai Apollo Hospital. Breakfast is often avoided in today’s environment. Eating more junk food and fast food has become a habit nowadays and loved by everyone. Our traditional food has been forgotten. The restaurants usually sell parotas made out of maida. This is loved and consumed by today’s generation. The result is likely to be cardiovascular problems, High Blood pressure, Kidney failure and diabetes. If this continues we will lose a healthy India. The main emphasis was to switch to the traditional foods and reduce the diseases. Around 500 students participated and benefitted from this programme.

World Heart Day

This year on World Heart Day, as part of our mission to ensure heart health equity for all, our objective was to create a global community of Heart Heroes … people from all walks of life who are acting now to live longer, better, heart-healthy lives by making a promise: A simple promise … for MY HEART, for YOUR HEART, for ALL OUR HEARTS. Voice Trust associated with Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Madurai organized an Interactive Heart Session at Madurai Kamaraj University on 25.09.2019. A Screening Camp from 11.30 am to 2.30pm for Madurai Kamaraj University teaching & Non-teaching staff was also carried out. Sr.Interventional Cardiologist, Apollo Hospitals, Madurai enlightened the programme with the World Heart Day message.

Voice Trust, Suji HealthCare and Dr. Velu’s Heart & Rhythm Clinic organized the World Heart Day event for the members of the Madurai Lions Club of Pandian on 29.09.2019. Dr.Vadivelu pointed out that heart disease is spreading rapidly in the present day. This is due to poor eating habits and lack of physical activity. In today’s fast world, he insisted on eating healthy and avoiding junk and fast food. All who attended the programme were given a free diagnosis

Dietetics Day

Dietetics Day- Reaching the unreached Nutrition Outreach Programme was celebrated at Kulamangalam Village, Madurai on 10/01/2020. This programme was organised by Voice Trust, Sri Meenakshi Govt Arts College For Women(A) Madurai, Lions Club of Madurai Senthamil, Indian Dietetic Association- Kilakarai Chapter and Suji Healthcare Pvt Ltd. This Event was organised to impart the importance of healthy diet to the people in the village of Kulamangalam. The Chief Guest MJF Lion R Ramasamy Dist Governor, Dist 324-B3 in his speech emphasised the importance of our traditional food. The main highlight of the programme was from the Home Science Department students of Meenakshi College. The message of Healthy Diet and Nutrition reached to the village people very efficiently through the students vibrant Villupattu, skits, Quiz and Nutrious Recipe Demonstration A total of around 100 village people & 50 College students were befitted by this programme. Free Lunch and refreshments were provided along with prizes for the winners in the Quiz competition. Broadly the programme was conducted mainly to create awareness among people about the importance of nutrition and a balanced diet with the Governments vision to make India malnutrition free by 2020.

International Women’s Day Celebration -Free Health camp

On the occasion of International Women’s Day Celebration 2020, a Free Health Camp was held on 10th March 2020 at Agricultural College & Research Institute, Madurai exclusively for women. Free medical camps are conducted with a sacred aim to bring awareness and provide completely free medical checkup including all medical services which are available nowadays in hospitals. This programme was organised by Voice Trust in association with Agricultural College & Research Institute, Madurai, Community Science College and Research Institute Madurai and Apollo Speciality Hospitals Madurai. The theme of the day was “How to fight with Stress”. . This successful free Health camp was organised by Voice Trust in collaboration with renowned doctors of Apollo Speciality Hospitals hospitals, Dr Hemalatha and Dr S.R,Devi leading Consultant Gynaecologists. A total of 300 people (Students and Staff) benefitted from this programme. Medical tests administered included those of Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Height, weight, Haemoglobin, General Consultation and Medicine prescriptions were provided.

International Day For Elderly

International Day for Elderly was celebrated on 1st October. This day is observed to focus on the importance of senior citizens who sometimes are neglected in our society. This day emphasizes on our responsibilities towards our elder in order to make their lives happier.The main aim of this day is to generate awareness amongst people about issues which affects the elders, as well as to appreciate their contribution towards the society. This day was celebrated at Madurai East Block by taking care of the elderly. The theme this year was, “Take a Stand against Ageism”. The theme for this year challenges everyone to consider ageism-the negative attitudes and discrimination based on age- and the detrimental impact it has on older people.

World No Tobacco Day

Every year, on 31 May, the World Health Organization (WHO) and global partners celebrate World No Tobacco Day (WNTD). Voice Trust in association with Nala Dental Clinic and State Bank of India, Madurai took this as an opportunity to raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and second-hand smoke exposure, and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form.The highlight of the program was with the slogan “Don’t let tobacco take your breath away.” This Programme was concluded with a pledge to eliminate tobacco by employees of Nala Dental Clinic and Sate Bank of India, Madurai.

National Safe Motherhood Day & Eye Awareness

To raise awareness about the proper healthcare of women and maternity facilities to pregnant and lactating women National Safe Motherhood Day (NSMD) was observed on 11th April. This day also focus on reducing anaemia among women, institutional delivery, for better pre and post natal health care etc. which are necessary for mothers. The goal of these campaigns is to seek every woman has right to live and they could be survive during pregnancy and childbirth. National Cancer Awareness Day

National Cancer Awareness Day was observed on 7th November by Voice Trust in association with Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Suji Healthcare Pvt Ltd to generate early detection and creating awareness about cancer In India, the incidence of cancer is increasing rapidly; therefore it is important to step up cancer literacy and knowledge amongst the population It is true, that when detected at the last stage, there is a slim chance of cure, but this can be solved by raising awareness about the same so that it helps people detect the symptoms and be prepared in advance.

World Tuberculosis Day

Each year, we commemorate World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on March 24 to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of TB, and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic. This year World Tuberculosis Day was celebrated by Voice Trust in association with self help groups. The date marks the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch announced that he had discovered the bacterium that causes TB, which opened the way towards diagnosing and curing this disease.
