FREE MEDICAL and HEALTH CAMPS

Voice Trust has been organizing Medical camps to provide primary health care services in unreached and under-reached villages. As part of this intervention, Voice Trust has organized around 5000 health camps in the southern districts with an outreach of one lakh population. The objective of the health camps is to provide primary health care services including both curative and preventive components through the provision of timely screening, diagnosis, and treatment on the one hand and awareness generation and counseling on the other to ensure holistic health and well-being. Through these camps, referral services are provided to those in need of specialized medical facilities.

Medical Camp at Etturvattam Sattur Toll Plaza

Voice Trust, in collaboration with CUBE Highways, organized a complimentary Medical Camp at Etturvattam Sattur Toll Plaza on February 6, 2024. The camp catered to the health needs of 86 participants, encompassing both Toll plaza personnel and members of the public. A dedicated medical team from Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai, conducted comprehensive examinations for all attendees. The examinations comprised routine assessments such as blood pressure, height, weight, and blood sugar levels, supplemented by consultations with seasoned medical professionals. This initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services and promote well-being among the community.

Health and Eye Camp at Lady Doak College

Voice Trust organized a Women’s Health Camp and Eye Camp at Lady Doak College in Madurai on March 5th, 2024, catering to the students and staff of LDC.
The Women’s Health Camp provided essential medical services tailored to the needs of the attendees. This included general medical tests such as blood sugar monitoring, height and weight measurements, and specialist consultations. Led by Dr. Hemalatha, an esteemed professional with qualifications in M.D, D.G.O, and D.N.B from Hema Medical Centre, the camp aimed to address the healthcare requirements of both students and staff.
Simultaneously, MaxiVision Superspeciality Eye Hospital conducted an Eye Camp, offering specialized eye care services to the LDC community. This included screenings, consultations, and treatments for various eye-related concerns.
By hosting these camps on the college premises, Voice Trust ensured convenient access to healthcare services for the students and staff of Lady Doak College, promoting their well-being and health awareness.

Free Mega Medical Camp in Ramnad District Brings Healthcare Access to Thelur Village Residents

On February 21st, 2024, Thelur Village in Ramnad District experienced the transformative impact of a free mega medical camp organized by Voice Trust, Madurai & Ramnad, in partnership with Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai, and Suji Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Madurai. Spearheaded by Mr. T. Murugesan, Director of Voice Trust, the event aimed to bridge the healthcare gap in rural areas. Residents were provided with a range of essential services including blood pressure and blood sugar tests, ECG screenings, Height, Weight, medical consultations, and free medicines. This collaborative effort not only addressed immediate health concerns but also empowered the community with knowledge about preventive healthcare practices, emphasizing the importance of holistic well-being. The success of the medical camp underscored the value of communitybased healthcare interventions in promoting a healthier society.

Medical Camp at Kappalur Toll Plaza

On February 1, 2023, Voice Trust, in collaboration with CUBE Highways, organized a successful medical camp at Kappalur Toll Plaza, with 63 participants benefiting from the services. With the support of dedicated doctors from Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai, the event offered comprehensive health consultations, including general check-ups and height-weight assessments, thereby bridging crucial healthcare gaps within the community. This collaborative effort not only facilitated access to essential medical services but also fostered a sense of unity and solidarity among residents. The camp’s impact was significant, promoting awareness about preventive healthcare measures and emphasizing the importance of regular check-ups for maintaining overall well-being. Such initiatives underscore the power of collective action in addressing healthcare disparities and building healthier, more resilient communities.

Free Eye Camp

On February 4th, 2024, Voice Trust, in collaboration with MaxiVision Super Specialty Eye Hospital Madurai, hosted a free eye camp at Kallukarkadai, drawing in a total of 60 participants from the general public. This joint initiative aimed to provide essential eye care services to the community, particularly in areas where access to such services might be scarce. By bringing together expertise and resources, Voice Trust and MaxiVision demonstrated their commitment to improving the eye health of individuals in need. Such collaborative efforts underscore the importance of community-focused healthcare initiatives in ensuring that everyone has access to quality eye care services.

Eye Awareness and Eye Camp

On February 5, 2024, an Eye Awareness and Eye Camp was held at Maikuddi, facilitated by experts from MaxiVision Super Speciality Eye Hospital, Madurai. The event aimed to educate the local community about eye care and provide essential services. Attendees included school children and members of the general public. Approximately 85 individuals benefited from the camp, receiving screenings and consultations. Additionally, Mr. Murugesan, Director of Voice Trust, delivered an enlightening talk on eye care, further enhancing awareness among the residents of Maikuddi. This initiative reflects a concerted effort to promote ocular health and well-being in the community.

Free Eye Camp

On January 14th 2024, Voice Trust partnered with MaxiVision super speciality Eye Hospital, Madurai to host an Eye Camp in Nangoor, Virudhunagar Dist, providing crucial eye care services to the local community. The camp offered free eye check-ups and consultations to attendees, focusing on early detection and treatment of eye ailments. Through comprehensive examinations and the distribution of eye care information, the event aimed to raise awareness about eye health and potentially prevent vision-related complications. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of both organizations to community welfare and highlights the significance of proactive initiatives in ensuring overall well-being.

Free Eye Camp

Voice Trust, in collaboration with Kanyakumari-Etturvattam Tollways Pvt. Ltd and Eye Foundation Madurai, organized a free Eye Camp aimed at providing essential eye care services to both the employees of the Toll Plaza and the general public on 17th Jan 2024. Held with the objective of promoting eye health and ensuring access to necessary screenings and consultations, the camp facilitated comprehensive eye examinations and offered guidance on preventive measures and treatment options. Through this collaborative effort, individuals benefited from vital eye care services, underscoring the commitment of the organizers to community welfare and health promotion.

Cancer and Eye Screening Program

On January 29th, 2024, Nagarathinam Angalammal Arts & Science College, Madurai welcomed a pivotal initiative aimed at prioritizing student health: the Cancer and Eye Screening Program, organized by Voice Trust in collaboration with Guru Hospital and MaxiVision Eye Hospital Madurai. This transformative event provided students with vital screenings for cancer detection and eye health assessments, emphasizing the significance of early intervention and preventive care. By leveraging expertise and resources from esteemed healthcare institutions, the program underscored the importance of proactive health management, empowering students to safeguard their well-being and embrace a future of optimal health and vitality.

Mega Medical Camp at Ramnad

Voice Trust had conducted the Mega Medical Camp at Anjukottai, Thiruvadanai Block Ramnad District, in Collaboration with Madurai Meenakshi Mission Hospital, MaxiVision Super Speciality Eye hospital Madurai and Billion Heart society, Madurai on 14th Dec 2023. ICTC Counsellor & Lab technician Thiruvadanai GH and Ramnad District Counsellor supported the program. In this camp General Medical check up, Sugar, HIV, RPR, Hepatitis B & C, ECG and Eye Check up were done to the HRGs, Spouse and Partners.

Eye Screening Camp

On the 29th Nov 2023, Eye Screening camp was conducted at Income Tax Office Madurai for the benefit of the employees. Smt Seema Singh IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax inaugurated the camp. Mr Sathish Babu IRS, Dr Rajkumar Bernard, Regional Director Maxivision Eye Hospital graced the event.

TB Awareness and Prevention Camp

Under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Voice Trust in association with Madurai-Kanyakumari Tollway Ltd, CUBE Highways organized a TB Awareness and Prevention Camp on 28th July 2023 for the benefit of Kappalur Toll plaza Employees. The key challenges in fighting Tuberculosis are raising the awareness levels of the community, improving health seeking behaviour of the population and addressing the social determinants of TB.

To raise awareness about TB among the employees, Voice trust collaborated with the District TB centre Elimination Programme. The District Tuberculosis Centre (DTC) is the nodal point for tuberculosis (TB) prevention and care activities in the district. An oath was taken by everyone present in the camp to eradicate TB headed by the Medical Officer, District Tuberculosis centre.

Mega Medical Camp for the General Public – A Collaborative Initiative

Voice Trust, in association with Lions Club, Harshitha Multispeciality Hospital, Eye Foundation, and Suji Healthcare, organized a Mega Medical Camp on August 27, 2023, at Alagarkovil for the benefit of people residing in nearby 12 villages in Madurai District. This event exemplified the power of collective efforts in addressing the healthcare needs of the local populace.

The event provided an array of medical services, including general health check-ups, specialized consultations, eye examinations, and more. The camp witnessed an impressive turnout, with approximately 200 individuals availing themselves of the various medical services offered. The initiative aimed to provide much-needed medical attention to those who may have limited access to healthcare resources. By bringing together a diverse range of medical professionals and organizations, the camp offered a holistic approach to health and wellness.

Leprosy Prevention and Rehabilitation Treatment Camp

On July 26, 2023, a Leprosy Prevention and Rehabilitation Treatment Camp was conducted at the Usilambatti Urban Government Primary Health Center. The camp was organized in a commendable manner, focusing on providing essential support and assistance to those in need. VOICE TRUST played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the event. We generously donated quality bedsheets to 100 individuals who attended the camp. This gesture aimed to improve the living conditions and comfort of the attendees, showing compassion and care towards the less privileged. Furthermore, the event did not just end with material support. As part of their ongoing welfare efforts, free nutritious lunch was provided to all individuals who attended the camp on a monthly basis. This initiative aimed to ensure that the attendees receive sustained support, both during the event and in the future, promoting their overall well-being and health.

Health check-up, blood camp at TNSTC (Madurai)

A camp for blood donation and general health check-up was organized at Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) headquarters main office premises situated on Bypass Road in Madurai on July 28th 2023.

This mega blood donation camp by TNSTC Madurai took place here today in association with Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai Corporation’s Thideer Nagar Urban Primary Health Centre, Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Hannah Joseph Hospital and Voice Trust-Suji Health Care System, in connection with the birth centenary year of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu ‘Kalaignar’ M.Karunanidhi.

A press release received from district collectorate in Madurai here on July 28th 2023 had informed that health camps are being conducted in the State and also blood donation camps for the benefit of general public.

Among those who were present at the health camp and blood donation camp in TNSTC Madurai premises include senior deputy manager of TNSTC (Madurai) for HR Mr.S.Elangovan and senior officials Mr.K.Samuthiram, Madurai regional general manager Mr.CK.Raghavan and several others including Mr.R.Baskaran, Mr.G.Santhanakrishnan along with Voice Trust director Mr.T.Murugesan.

Free medical camp in Ramnad

Free medical camp took place on August 7th, 2023, in Ramnad, aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the general public. The camp encompassed a wide range of services, including general check-ups, blood tests, ECGs, and Echo examinations. Through collaborative efforts with Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Hannah Joseph Hospital, and Suji Healthcare, we were able to extend these vital services to a diverse group of individuals, with a total turnout of 130 people.

Cardiology Medical Camp

A health screening camp was organized at Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) Women’s Studies Centre in Madurai on July 14th 2023 with a special focus heart-cardiac where the doctors’ team had focused on height, weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, ECG, ECHO and eye checkup. This health screening camp took place in MKU Multi Speciality Health Centre of the university near varsity campus here in which 162 persons had undergone important medical tests today benefiting the MKU employees, their families and local people near university campus in Madurai. The health screening camp by MKU Women’s Studies Centre was organized in collaboration with Voice Trust & Suji Health Centre in Madurai, Hannah Joseph Hospital-Madurai and The Eye Foundation Eye Hospital in the MKU health centre very near to the university campus, from 10 am to 2 pm on July 14th 2023. Speaking at the health camp, MKU Syndicate Member Prof.Nagarathinam and ICMR retired scientist Dr.Mariappan had stressed that a general health checkup is a must above the age of 40 years for men and women regularly, and it is more important due to the changing lifestyle and food habits. Dr.R.Radhika Devi, Director in-charge of MKU Women’s Studies Centre, Mr.T.Murugesan, director, Voice Trust-Madurai and Dr.J.Klaassen Solomon, medical officer of MKU Multispeciality Health Centre, were among those who were present at the inauguration of health screening camp in which more than 150 men and women had undergone medical tests and health screening by doctors.

Women Wellness Program

Celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Voice Trust joined hands with Bharat Petroleum Madurai LPG Territory and organized a successful “Women Wellness Program” on May 29th, 2023. Interactive sessions on women’s health were conducted by esteemed experts in the field, namely Dr. Vidya Arun Kumar MD, DNB -Psychiarist Karunya Clinic Madurai, Dr. Catherine Leela MS (O & G), – Consultant Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Mrs. Srimathi Charlie – Dietician Meenakshi Mission Hospital benefitting 300+ women , contributing to their overall well-being. The program was honoured by the presence of the Govt. Officials, Mr. Sanjay Kumar – SO, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Mrs. Neha – ASO, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Free Health monitor camp was successfully organized under the effective leadership of our Director, Mr. T Murugesan. The event was a resounding success.

Free Medical Camp at Ramnad

Voice Trust Ramnad, in collaboration with Billion Heart Foundation Madurai and Aasi Multi-speciality Hospital Ramnad, organized a Free Medical Camp on 25th February 2023 at Annai Theresa Nagar, Iyanthoppu Thangachimadam, Ramnad. The camp aimed to provide healthcare services and medications to underprivileged individuals. The participants had access to healthcare professionals who provided medical advice, examinations, and recommendations for further treatment if required. The services provided included medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and the distribution of free medications, including vitamins and syrups. Additionally, Diagnostic tests were conducted to address specific health concerns. The following tests were performed: RMC (Number: 17), HIV (Number: 76), Hepatitis B and C (Number: 50), TB sputum collection (Number: 20). Free general medicines were provided with essential medications to address their immediate health needs. Vitamins and syrup were distributed to improve the overall health and well-being of the participants. 127 individuals from the community and target groups (HRGs) took part in the medical camp. Such initiatives play a crucial role in ensuring access to healthcare services for those who are in need.

Cardiology Medical Camp

Voice Trust in collaboration with Hannah Joseph Hospital, Madurai organized a Cardiology Medical Camp on 11th April 2023. The camp aimed to provide specialized cardiac care and diagnostic services to the employees of EB Office in K Pudur, Madurai. The medical camp witnessed the participation of 70 individuals from the office. The diverse group included people of different ages and backgrounds. A total of 16 ECG tests were conducted during the camp. ECGs are essential diagnostic tests that provide valuable information about the electrical activity of the heart. Six echocardiograms were performed. Echocardiography uses ultrasound to visualize the structure and function of the heart, enabling the identification of various cardiac conditions. One participant required further evaluation and was referred to another hospital for an angiography procedure. Angiography is a specialized test that helps assess the blood flow in the coronary The camp not only facilitated early detection of potential cardiac issues but also raised awareness about cardiovascular health and encouraged the adoption of healthy lifestyles.

Basic life support Training (BLS)

The program was conducted at Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation training centre Madurai on 23rd March 2023 for the benefit of the employees in association with Hannah Joseph Hospital Madurai. Dr. Joseph Sanjay Manoj M.D.,PGDEM., (Intensivist-Emergency & Critical Care) and Dr.Raja Mohamed MBBS.,(Emergency Medical Officer) provided the BLS training to around 75 employees. Basic life support (BLS) is a set of basic medical procedures that are used to save the life of someone who is experiencing a medical emergency. When it comes to people in transport, such as those traveling in a car, train, or airplane, it’s important to have a basic understanding of BLS so that you can respond in case of an emergency. BLS is an essential set of skills that can help save lives.

Free Multispecialty Medical Camp

On 24th Jan 2023, Voice Trust in association with Lions Club Sivakasi and Suji Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Madurai conducted a free Multispecialty Medical Camp at The Arasan Aluminium Industries (P) Ltd Sivakasi for the welfare of the employees of The Arasan Group of Industries. The camp was carried out based on the theme of “Health is more important than Wealth”.

Hannah Joseph Hospital, The Eye Foundation, and Nala Dental Hospital rendered Medical services to 415 employees. Eye check-ups, Dental check-ups, Echoes, ECGs, and general health parameter tests were conducted.

Free Cardiac Screening Camp

To improve the availability and access to quality health care by people, especially for those residing in rural areas, under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme, Voice Trust in association with Hannah Joseph Hospital Madurai and Primary Health Centre Checkanurani conducted Free Cardiac Screening Camp at PHC Checkanurani on the 21st Dec 2022. Dr. Gilbert Joseph MS., M.Ch (CTVS) Chief Cardiac Surgeon, and Dr. S.Jegan MD., DM Interventional Cardiologist of Hannah Joseph Hospital examined around 60 persons who attended the camp. In the camp, ECG, ECHO, blood sugar, and blood pressure, were performed by specialized paramedical staff, and proper medical consultation from experienced cardiologist doctors was provided free of cost, and many important medicines were also provided free of cost. This day is to remind every individual of the importance to maintain a healthy heart by following the right lifestyle pattern and accessing timely healthcare. Timely diagnosis and intervention play a key role in saving lives, but all this can be achieved through constant awareness. Health camps such as ours will educate communities, and ultimately save lives.

Mega Mammogram Camp

In an effort to create awareness about breast cancer, a free mammography camp was organized for women above the age of 40 years. The 2-day (17th & 18th Dec 2022) Mega Mammogram camp was organized

in collaboration with Jain Vidyalaya for the benefit of the employees of Jain Vidyalaya. A bus equipped with the latest testing techniques and a team of doctors and nurses was stationed at the School campus for the same. While inaugurating the camp, Mrs. Suriya Prabha Rajasekaran, Inner Wheel District Chairman, District 321 said awareness and timely diagnosis could help in treating and overcoming the challenges of breast cancer. She emphasised the need to spread awareness on issues concerning women’s health. Guest of Honour, Dr. S.G.Balamurugan M.S.,M.Ch., M.A., F.R.C.S., Ph.D., Managing Director, Guru Hospital Madurai said the mammography van could help women of remote areas and underprivileged sections of the society to get their disease detected and treated in time. Through this camp, 75 women benefitted from free scanning of Breast Cancer (Mammography), ECG, Echo, and Cervical cancer test by a team of doctors from Guru Hospital headed by Dr. B. Kalpana M.D., (O.G) F.N.B.

Free Medical Camp and Beneficiary welfare Scheme

On the 12th of Oct 2022, Free Medical Camp and a Beneficiary welfare Scheme were organized at Poonjuthi Village in Madurai District. This program was organized by Mr. Ramanathan, Panchayat President Poonjuthi Village in association with Voice Trust, BenchMark Medical Trust, Harsitha Hospital, Vasan Eye Care Hospital, CSI Dental College, Lady Doak College and Suji Healthcare System Madurai. Free General, Eye, Dental, ENT, and Ortho Checkups were conducted for around 350 people. Free medicines were also provided. 200 shirts, sponsored by Ramraj Cotton were given to daily wage labourers. Sewing machines were provided to the needy. Around 10000 tree saplings were planted. Appreciation prizes were given to the best MGNRES workers.

Free Health and Eye Camp

Eye camp is the most effective way of providing eye care service to a large number of people in a short time. We identify a large number of cataract patients through these eye camps. It is completely free for patients. On the 10th of June 2022, Voice Trust in association with The Eye Foundation, Eye Hospital organized a Mega-free Health and Eye Camp at Kayathar Tollgate in Tirunelveli District. The objective of this initiative is to ensure a clearer vision and safe travel for truck and bus drivers who are the most frequent users of national highways. In these eye camps, basic services were provided such as screening and correcting refractive errors by providing eyeglasses, providing medicines to address allergies and other eye conditions, and identification of cataracts and other surgical cases.

Free Medical Camp for the Elderly

For the benefit of Senior Citizens and as a preventive measure against Corona in the Lockdown period, Free Medical Camp was organized by Voice Trust in association with Suji Health Care Clinic and Lions Club at Veerapandian Nagar, Madurai on the 26th of June 2021. Lions Governor Mr. Radhakrishnan LGF inaugurated the camp and Mr Arumugam, Regional Chairman, Lions Club felicitated the function. Dr. Kabir Das, Chief Medical Officer, of Suji Health Care Clinic examined all the people who attended the camp and free Medicines were distributed. A total of 100 people benefitted from the medical camp comprising 45 women, 35 men, and 10 children. The checkups included Free Sugar Test, BP, Pulse rate, Eye test, and temperature.

Free Medical Camp for Senior Citizens at Veerapandian Nagar

A free health check-up camp was held in Madurai for senior citizens on 10th April 2022. All the participants were given instructions to be more cautious about their health and get their medical check-ups done from time to time. The camp was a big draw with a stream of senior citizens trooping in and out of the venue all day long to avail the services on offer. At the camp, tests for blood pressure, Sugar, and hypothyroid were carried out along with a general check. A free medical consultation was also provided during the camp. More than 85 people benefited from the camp.

Free Medical Camp at Seeman Nagar

Under the guidelines issued by our honorable Chief Minister Thiru MK Stalin Sir, For the benefit of Senior Citizens, of their inability in reaching hospitals amid the covid situation, and as a preventive measure against Corona in the Lockdown period, Free Medical Camps are organized by Voice Trust right at the comfort of their own places. The Free Medical Camp was organized by Voice Trust in association with Suji Health Care Clinic at Seeman Nagar, Madurai on 30th June 2021. This camp is in line with our Covid-19 Relief Initiative to combat Corona. The Medical camp was inaugurated by the village Head Mr. Muthu. A total of 45 people from in and around Karuppayurani benefitted from this Medical camp. Free sugar tests, BP, Temperature, Pulse rate, and Eye examinations were conducted at the camp. Dr Kabir Das examined all the people who attended the camp and free medicines were provided to those in need.

Free Medical Camp at Chinna Pandikovil Street Karupayyurani

Free Medical Camp was organized by Voice Trust in association with Suji Health Care Clinic at Chinna Pandikovil Street Karupayyurani on the 4th of July 2021. A total of 35 people from in and around Karuppayurani benefitted from this Medical camp. Free sugar tests, BP, Temperature, Pulse rate, and Eye examinations were conducted at the camp. Dr Kabir Das examined all the people who attended the camp and free medicines were provided to those in need. This camp was very beneficial for the people during this lockdown period.

Free Medical Camp at Bharathipuram, Madurai

Free Medical Camp was organized by Voice Trust in association with Suji Health Care Clinic at Bharathipuram on the 7th of July 2021. A total of 20 people benefitted from this Medical camp. Free sugar tests, BP, Temperature, Pulse rate, and Eye examinations were conducted at the camp. Dr Kabir Das examined all the people who attended the camp and free medicines were provided to those in need. This camp was very beneficial for the people during this lockdown period.

Free Health Camp at Kaliamman Kovil Street, Madurai

To support the government in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, on the 11th of July 2021, Voice Trust in association with Suji Health Care Clinic organized a Free Health camp for the Elderly, Women, and Children. Our total country is in the grip of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The current wave has placed immense stress on the state’s health infrastructure and our people. To address the health needs of our people, this camp was organized where free Health check-ups and medicines were provided.

Medical Camp for a heart-healthy life

Voice Trust organized a one-day Heart Health Care medical camp on the 31st of July at Karupayurrani, Madurai in collaboration with Dr Velus Health & Rhythm Clinic and Suji Health Care Clinic. Dr. Vadivelu, along with Dr Kabir Das diagnosed and counselled the patients who were assisted by the volunteers from Voice Trust. More than 23 people came for their health check-ups. The visiting patients were observed in regard to their blood pressure, blood sugar, etc. The suspected 13 cases of CVD were preceded by electrocardiography and 3 patients were referred for Angiogram.

Ortho Medical Camp

On the 14th of August 2021, Voice Trust in association with Vale Speciality Ortho Clinic and Suji Health Care Clinic organized a one-day Ortho Medical Camp at Bharathipuram, Madurai. Dr. K. N. Subramanian, MBBS, MS, MRCS Ed, M.Ch, Ortho, FRCS (Tr&Ortho), CCT Orth(GMC-UK), Eminent Orthopaedic Doctor and Dr. Kabir Dasan, checked the patients and provided medical advice and the Physiotherapist demonstrated the exercises to be performed on a regular basis to improve their health condition. This initiative was appreciated and welcomed by the village beneficiaries. The following tests were conducted – Bone Mineral Density (BMD Scan), Height, Weight, BP, Nerve Conduction Test, and Blood Sugar. A total of 25 people benefitted from this Ortho camp.

Free Health Camp for the BAR ASSOCIATION LAWYERS

Voice Trust in association with Velammal Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Madurai organized a Health Camp for the BAR ASSOCIATION LAWYERS, Madurai on 10.07.2019. Over 350 Advocates were screened and given medical advice at the special Medical Camp organized at the Court Premises. The main focus was on the changing lifestyle and food habits that people are adopting these days and the problems creeping up due to these sedentary habits. Various general preventions to cure these problems were also suggested by them. A Free Blood Sugar and Free Bone Mass Index (BMI) check-up was also in place to check the density and mass of bones.

Free Diabetic Camp

Madurai Voice Trust, Suji HealthCare Pvt Ltd, and Apollo Pharmacy jointly held a free Diabetes awareness camp on 24.08.2019 for the General Public near Meenakshi Amman Temple Madurai. During this camp height, weight, sugar, and blood tests were done to rule out various diseases. The camp was organized to make people aware of the growing effects of diabetes keeping in view, the increase in the patients of with diabetes during the last few years as the number 32 million in 2000 has increased doubled to 63 million in 2013.

Free General Medical Health Camp

Voice Trust Madurai in association with Suji Health Care and Madurai Meenakshi Mission Hospital organized a free Medical camp for the employees of Arasan Ganesan Aluminum Industries on 16.10.2019.

A thorough examination by the doctors was done and the prescribed medicines were provided free of charge. Weight, Sugar tests, ECG examinations, and Eye examinations were conducted by the medical team of Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Center. The event was finally graced by Mr. Ganesan Managing Director, Arasan Aluminum Industries. A total of 146 employees benefitted from this camp.

General Medical Health Camp

Free General Medical Camp was held on 18th Nov 2019 at Pandiyanadu Institute of Co-operative Management, Thirunagar, Madurai for the students of Diploma in Co-operative Management and Junior Inspectors of Co-operative Department. This program was organized by Voice Trust, Suji Health Care Pvt Ltd, and Apollo Speciality Hospitals Madurai.

The Programme was conducted in accordance with the celebration of the 66th year of the Madurai District Co-operative Society.

Free Mega Medical Camp

On 20th March 2022, a Free Medical camp was organized at Thiruthangal Nadar Vidhyalaya by Voice Trust in association with Sivakasi Cosmos Arima Sangam and Suji Healthcare Madurai. The medical consultation was carried out by Eminent Doctors and technical experts from Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai. Mr A.M.S.G. Ashokan, a Member of the Legislative Assembly Sivakasi presided over the function, and the special invitee of the program was Sivakasi Corporation Mayor Mrs Sangeetha Inbam. Blood tests, Sugar tests, ECGs, Blood Pressure, physiotherapy consultancy, and pain management were conducted at the camp along with general consultation. Around 200 people benefitted from this camp.

Free Medical Camp for the Elderly

For the benefit of Senior Citizens and as a preventive measure against Corona in the Lockdown period, Free Medical Camp was organized by Voice Trust in association with Suji Health Care Clinic and Lions Club at Veerapandian Nagar, Madurai on the 26th of June 2021. Lions Governor Mr. Radhakrishnan LGF inaugurated the camp and Mr Arumugam, Regional Chairman, Lions Club felicitated the function. Dr Kabir Das, Chief Medical Officer, of Suji Health Care Clinic examined all the people who attended the camp and free Medicines were distributed. A total of 100 people benefitted from the medical camp comprising 45 women, 35 men, and 10 children. The checkups included Free Sugar Test, BP, Pulse rate, Eye test, and temperature.

Free Medical Camp for Senior Citizens at Veerapandian Nagar

A free health check-up camp was held in Madurai for senior citizens on 10th April 2022. All the participants were given instructions to be more cautious about their health and get their medical check-ups done from time to time. The camp was a big draw with a stream of senior citizens trooping in and out of the venue all day long to avail the services on offer. At the camp, tests for blood pressure, Sugar, and hypothyroid were carried out along with general checks. A free medical consultation was also provided during the camp. More than 85 people benefited from the camp.

Under the guidelines issued by our honorable Chief Minister Thiru MK Stalin Sir, For the benefit of Senior Citizens, of their inability in reaching hospitals amid the covid situation, and as a preventive measure against Corona in the Lockdown period, Free Medical Camps are organized by Voice Trust right at the comfort of their own places. The Free Medical Camp was organized by Voice Trust in association with Suji Health Care Clinic at Seeman Nagar, Madurai on 30th June 2021. This camp is in line with our Covid-19 Relief Initiative to combat Corona. The Medical camp was inaugurated by the village Head Mr. Muthu. Free Health Camp at Kaliamman Kovil Street, Madurai

To support the government in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, on the 11th of July 2021, Voice Trust in association with Suji Health Care Clinic organized a Free Health camp for the Elderly, Women, and Children. Our total country is in the grip of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The current wave has placed immense stress on the state’s health infrastructure and our people. Voice Trust organized a one-day Heart Health Care medical camp on the 31st of July at Karupayurrani, Madurai in collaboration with Dr Velus Health & Rhythm Clinic and Suji Health Care Clinic. Medical Treatment at Peoples Doorstep

Voice Trust Medical camps with support from Government DD Health Services held in different panchayats of Madurai is an initiative to take the Medical facilities to the People’s Doorsteps during this unprecedented time of Covid-19. These Medical camps are organized in accordance with our Government, advising Senior citizens and Children to stay indoors and to discourage unnecessary travel for Health ailments amid the lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19. The Free Medical Camps (Medical Treatment at People’s Doorsteps) were conducted at 10 different places in Madurai East Block from 27th June 2021 to 28th July 2021. A total of 397 people benefitted from these camps.

These Medical camps provide the poor population with overall physical examinations which include eyes and health check-ups, and assessment of the functioning of vital organs like the heart, lungs, digestive system, liver, kidneys, and immune system. These Medical camps provide diagnosis, treatment, and medication at the patients’ doorsteps.

The objective of the health camps is to provide primary health care services including both curative and preventive components through the provision of timely screening, diagnosis, and treatment on the one hand and awareness generation and counseling on the other to ensure holistic health and well-being. Through these camps, referral services are provided to those in need of specialized medical facilities.
