Disaster Response and Medical Support Initiative During Heavy Rains in Madurai
On 27th October 2024, Voice Trust, in partnership with Suji Healthcare, organized a disaster response and medical support initiative in Madurai to assist residents impacted by recent heavy rains during the peak Diwali season. Medical teams from Guru Hospital and Vijay Multispeciality Hospital set up temporary camps in Narimedu and Mullainagar, providing on-the-spot medical consultations, treatments, and essential medicines to affected residents. The initiative aimed to address immediate healthcare needs and raise health and safety awareness among individuals in rain-affected areas. The swift response and dedication of the medical teams brought substantial relief to the community, demonstrating the effectiveness of coordinated action during crises and reinforcing community trust in local healthcare providers.
