Voice trust accountability to defending covid-19, a pandemic virus Programme schedule : (First Phase)
During this challenging phase and in line with our guiding principles, we launched the COVID-19 Relief Programme.
Community health care
We are currently engaged in reaching out to the daily wage earners and underprivileged families, residing in Madurai, with ration of food, Vegetables, Fruits, masks and soaps. With no income during nation-wide lockdown, these families lost access to the most basic necessity – food. Countless have been going without food for days and their very survival is now at risk. At Voice Trust, our efforts are now focused on their health and safety.
While our food kits of rations – rice, pulses, potatoes, oil, salt and biscuits are providing them with sustenance, the masks and soaps are protecting them against the virus.

Post Covid-19 Adolescent Women
Webinar on Women’s participation during the current pandemic of Covid-19
Our women play a major role in our society with greater risk of infection in home as well as at work. Nearly 83 percent of the frontline workers are female who have consistently been putting their lives at risk. In rural areas, women accounting for 1 million Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers are the core providers of health care and medical services. Women in India, both individually and collectively are working fanatically on the frontlines to rein in an ever-worsening pandemic. Yet, despite their significant contribution toward the management of the crisis, women continue to remain invisible in both the global as well as the national discourse on women’s leadership in the COVID-19 crisis. It is time to recognize the efforts of these unseen heroes of the crisis and acknowledge the critical roles that women play in Indian society. 55 college students and professors of Women’s Study Centre, Madurai Kamaraj University participated & got benefitted through this webinar.
